Skills Trainer

Main missions and results :

Deliver role-based training in line with IAC operating procedures and quality standards to new and existing employees ensuring they can perform their duties unassisted and to process particularly in respect to leather wrapped products.

Create, maintain and update training records using assessment criteria capturing evidence to demonstrate skill status by job.

Train any changes to standard operating instructions or quality alerts and ensure these changes are embedded and sustained, ensuring training documentation is updated and maintained.

Work with training specialist to support training needs analysis (TNA)/ design and deployment of mandatory training requirements, individual needs and the business strategy.

Ensure adherence to all relevant IAC Health and Safety procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential H&S issues and awareness.

Perform regular assessments/audits to embed knowledge and skills from training using assessment criteria’s, update all records with evidence capture.

Perform periodic audits to monitor and evaluate the training provided is understood and sustained and the employee is working to process avoiding quality issues, scrap and miss-labelling.

Ensure operatives are trained to any standard operating instruction (SOI) updates and their training logs are updated.

Support training specialist updating SOI’s if required when errors, changes or improvements are identified.

Collaborate weekly with shift managers and team leaders to understand and capture current /future desired key performance indicators(KPI) that supports their glidepath, particularly in respect to leather wrapped products.

Collaborate with shift managers and team leaders by identifying skills and knowledge gaps and work together to support their training plan, particularly in respect to leather wrapped products.

Continual personal development by rotating business areas to increase knowledge, attending regular 121’s with manager fully prepared, utilising your personal development plan (PDP) and increasing stakeholder engagement in other areas.

Complete onboarding activities in line with operator recruitment needs

Undertake other training and development activities when required: inductions, mandatory training, bite sized training sessions, train the trainer activities.

Essential Skills and Experience:

A Team Player who supports team members, sharing best practice, communicating regular issues and updates.

Ability to complete work to a planned timescale.

Organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Flexible and enthusiastic attitude, punctual, demonstrate a willingness to listen, learn and try new ways Flexibility and shift working.

IT skills, MS office ,Excel.

Preferred skills and experience:
Train the trainer or equivalent qualification, experience training new employees in a similar manufacturing environment, comfortable presenting formally and informally to a wide variety of audiences.
Understanding of customer quality standards IATF16949 / ISO9001 along with appreciation of the systems currently in place to maintain delivery performance and miss-label prevention.
