United Kingdom Nyetimber Full time

Nyetimber is a pioneering luxury brand and multiple award-winning English sparkling wine producer. Our story is one of many firsts; we were the first to pioneer the now-established style of English sparkling wine; we were the first to grow the renowned grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in England exclusively for producing sparkling wine; and the estate where our vines were first planted, was first mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086 by its then Anglo-Saxon name “Nyetimbraha”.

Quality is key to absolutely everything we do at Nyetimber and there is a constant strive for perfection. We produce exceptional sparkling wine, but always keep in mind that the reference to exceptional goes beyond wine, it extends to every touch point of the brand.

The Events Manager will oversee and orchestrate the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact events that elevate the Nyetimber brand in the UK. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and execute an annual events calendar, manage relationships, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The Events Manager will play a pivotal role in bringing the Nyetimber brand to life through sponsorship activations, consumer events, PR events, tastings, and product launches, ensuring every event aligns with our luxury brand standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of the overall events strategy for Nyetimber in the UK, covering sponsorship activations, consumer-facing events, PR activities, tastings, and product launches.
  • Line manage and professionally develop the Events and Marketing Assistant.
  • Collaborate with the Events and Marketing Assistant to manage an annual events calendar, implementing long-term planning systems that streamline event management.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing Activations to define and manage event execution within sponsorships, partnerships, and other activations.
  • Oversee all aspects of event delivery, including the creative look and feel, logistics, staffing, and on-site operations.
  • Define goals and objectives for events with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Nyetimber’s broader marketing strategies.
  • Manage the Nyetimber Bus operations, overseeing its calendar and maintenance for events and other promotional activities.
  • Build strong relationships with external sponsors and partners to negotiate contracts, secure optimal pricing, and guarantee service excellence.
  • Define clear communication protocols and operating procedures for working with internal departments. For example, working with the Sales Team to define and align event strategies with sales goals, plus collaborating with the Marketing Team to develop digital, content and POS ideas to enhance the exposure and outcome of each event.
  • Plan, monitor, and manage the annual events budget, ensuring that all events are delivered within scope while maintaining high standards of execution.
  • Ensure Senior Management receives relevant post-event analysis, including financial impacts, participant feedback, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Negotiate agreements with external partners/providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure that every event promotes a luxury guest experience, exceeding attendee expectations at every opportunity.
  • Become a ‘Nyetimber ambassador’, sharing in-depth knowledge about Nyetimber wines, the vineyard, and the brand story with guests and stakeholders. Represent Nyetimber as a polite, charming, and enthusiastic host while always maintaining professionalism.
  • Ensure all events adhere to legal requirements, including maintaining adequate Personal Licence Holding for all event-related activities. Create and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements for each event, working with organisers and subcontractors to manage and mitigate any risks during events.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues during event execution, ensuring seamless operation on the scheduled delivery day.
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality team to define the Nyetimber experience at the Estate for special events like Open Weekends and Consumer Dinners.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the wider business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience in event planning and management, with a proven track record in luxury brand events or large-scale corporate events.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events across varied formats and locations.
  • Proven ability to manage large event budgets and deliver strong ROI, ensuring that all financial aspects are tracked accurately.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive agreements with external partners.
  • A meticulous eye for detail to ensure flawless execution of every event.
  • A creative mindset for developing innovative event concepts that align with the brand's luxury positioning.
  • Able to anticipate potential challenges and respond with quick, effective solutions.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends and travel for events.
  • A driver’s License is essential for this role.
  • An interest in wine and WSET qualifications is desirable.

THE NYETIMBER EXPERIENCE:

  • Be a part of the world renowned English Sparkling Wine and multi award winning wine producer.
  • Work for a true British heritage brand
