Woodland Group are recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our site in Hayes. Reporting to the Warehouse and Transport Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will be with the warehouse manager and warehouse compliance supervisor working alongside transport and both import and export teams in completing all procedures to achieve compliance targets.

About the role:

  • Responsible for meeting customer requirements for deliveries.
  • Utilise warehouse space.
  • Complete procedures to fulfil department requirements.
  • Liaise with warehouse manager for daily/weekly activities.
  • Actively seek to understand customer operational requirements and identify any service or delivery concerns or failures;
  • Ensure issues are fully communicated to operational teams and resolved timely.
  • Work with all other departments throughout the Company to support their work.

  • Work with ETSF to complete a smooth through flow in the warehouse.
  • Work with the Warehouse teams to continually improve processes and business performance, continue checks on use of dimension machine and updating of FCL.
  • Holiday/Sickness cover planning.
  • Work alongside compliance supervisor in the integration of new starters.
  • Daily warehouse checks on racking and forklifts.
  • Cleanliness of warehouse and yard.
  • Overseeing of all warehouse daily operational planning.

Personal Specification

  • You have previous experience in an a similar role.
  • You are well organised, being able to prioritise work and working within key deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • You have the ability to work thoroughly, methodically with an excellent attention to detail;
  • You can work collaboratively with other members of the team as well as key stakeholders across the group;
  • You have the natural ability and enjoy building and maintaining strong working relationships;
  • You excel with a team environment as well as being able to work autonomously when required;
  • You are flexible, adaptable, and open minded and respond well to the ever-changing priorities and challenges while remaining calm and focussed on getting the job done;
  • You are proactive looking at ways to improve processes and have the initiative to put them forward and where possible into practice;
  • You actively seek ways to enhance your knowledge and improve your performance; and
  • You are self-motivated, have huge drive and ambition – you thrive off achieving great success and helping to build a great place to work
