Business Intelligence Developer

In the role of BI Developer you will help to shape the the framework of our company's insights. Working hand in hand with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, RFC owners, and technical colleagues, you will embark on a collaborative journey to design, code, configure, and customise our data warehouse, reporting, and visualisation systems. With an agile mindset guiding your approach, you will swiftly adapt to evolving business needs, ensuring our solutions remain finely tuned to drive actionable insights and informed decision-making.

Requirements

•Experience of commercial BI solutions development

•Advanced knowledge and commercial experience of MS SQL Server & SSIS Workflow management

•Deployment & maintenance skills in both reporting tools “SSRS” & data visualisation tools (ideally Qlik)

•Demonstrable ability to write and optimize T-SQL statements

•Practical experience of database design for BI, index management, table optimisation including (partitioning, compression, filegroups etc)

•Experience working through the full software development lifecycle, from design through to implementation

•Experience of collaborating with other technical colleagues in an Agile environment to deliver new applications and systems improvements

•Strong conceptual ability, both for analytical problem solving and shaping the design of solutions

•Understands the principles of system and user acceptance testing and the link to requirements documentation

•Experience of working with Agile, iterative and Waterfall delivery approaches.

•Good understanding of data structures and technologies
