METAL POLISHERS Permanent Positions from day 1 Hours: NIGHTS 6PM to 6AM - Monday to Thursday Salary: from £37,315 upwards DOE Location of work is Wolverhampton MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Immediate Permanent positions for experienced Metal Polishers to work within a team of polishers processing various parts predominantly for chrome and nickel finishes, with a total of ten finishes across all ranges produced.

  • Responsible for polishing / linishing of parts and components to a very high quality standard
  • Prepping parts and components ready for final stage polishing process
  • Processing various parts for castings, turned parts, pressings & spouts for various plating finish standards
  • Using various polishing and linishing machines and hand tools
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions
  • Responsible for components within the polishing workshop
  • Notify the team leader of consumable items that are out of stock
  • Report any quality issues / concerns to the team leader
  • Carry out routine maintenance when required.
  • Maintain good communications and relationships
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health and Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping
  • Ensure 5S standards are maintained.
Experience / Skills:
  • Solid experience as a Metal Polisher within the metal industry
  • Experienced in linishing and grinding aspects of polishing
  • Competency with machinery and abrasive belts
