Key Responsibilities

The key tasks, responsibilities and accountabilities for the post holder include:

Engineering

•Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions.

•Mig welding, metal drilling, tapping, cutting and assembling products.

•Grind, Sand, Polish and detail fabrications to a required finish using hand and power tools.

•Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present and are properly fitted, aligned and screwed.

• Maintaining a production schedule and working to deadlines.

•Testing products for their functionality.

•Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimize problems or recalls.

•Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.

•Manage a variety of tasks and build different types of products from raw resources.

•Complete the relevant documentation, indicating any problems with manufacture, or any further instructions provided.

•Be able to work with minimum supervision when required, using own initiative.

Quality

•Ensure a quality service is provided to internal customers.

•Ensure all quality issues raised by customers are managed in line with quality and audit processes.

•Participate in ISO and Ethical audits as required and contributing to ensuring zero non- conformances.

•Monitor and respond to feedback on service quality, to improve the customer experience.

Person Specification

• Apprentice trained, or time served fabrication experience.

• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Fabricator.

• Good experience, skills & qualifications in Mig welding and positional welding.

• Excellent eyesight and color vision.

• Working knowledge of metal working machinery/equipment.

• Experience of working to varying production deadlines & changing specifications.

• FLT license is desirable.
