Events Workshop Manager

Our client is a leading set production company supplying set and decoration to a wide range of product launches, fashion shows, exhibitions, and private events They primarily provide design, scenery, lighting and AV for a wide range of events.
Therefore anyone with a background in events/exhibitions, construction, kitchen design etc would be a strong contender.
We are looking for a skilled and energetic person to manage the build workshop. This role relies upon the ability to plan & organise the team & resources across multiple projects at any given time.
The projects are hugely varied in content, style and design making this a varied and exciting role.
This role essentially co-ordinates the build, construction and prep of multiple projects through the busy workshop. Scheduling carpenters, painter’s, and finishersOrdering and ensuring the smooth supply of materialsLiaising with logistics in terms of crewing, loading schedules and packingWorking with Project managers to manage workflow and design detailsManaging returning projects, hires, recycling and disposalBooking and ordering hire equipment
Having a solid knowledge of design / production led project managmentGreat personnel skills, to manage a large team of people with different skillsBeing able to navigate a wide range of projects and componentsTo be able to cope with tight time frames and short lead timesPrioritise workflow and completion dates
This role sits at the heart of the business and forms a core role within the team of creatives, project managers, logistics team and skilled makers.
You will become part of a dynamic team producing quality and interesting set builds for leading events across London, the UK and Europe. They are a close team with a wonderful diverse client base which makes each project unique and no two days the same.
Challenging briefs and a wide range of creative styles will stretch and expand your knowledge and contacts and make this role interesting and fulfilling for the successful candidate
