Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Practice Technology Specialist to join the firm in our London Office. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. This position will provide guidance to the firm’s designers and coordinators throughout the RIBA, RIAI & ACE project phases for a wide range of project types focusing on types including aviation, corporate, data centers, education, healthcare, multi-family and interior design studios.

At Corgan, a team of Architects, Interior Designers, and developers are dedicated to making the practice of architecture more efficient. Within the Information Technology group, the “IT — Practice” team is focused on creating workflows and tools that support the rest of the firm - including research and development of the industry’s latest hardware and software.

The Practice Technology Specialist will join our Practice Technology Group and proactively develop and implement best practices and workflows for all Corgan Offices with a primary focus on Revit®, its extensions and third-party tools. Additionally, experience creating computational design-based solutions and/or experience with energy modeling or other sustainable design technologies be highly considered in the evaluation of the candidate.

This position will work closely with other members of Practice Technology Group and Corgan IT in supporting BIM and Practice Technology initiatives firm-wide. The Practice Technology Specialist will be responsible for providing BIM leadership and mentoring to staff of all levels and will develop strong business relationships and enhance day-to-day operations in the firm by being a conscientious, dependable, organized and detail-oriented team player.

This position will exhibit leadership in providing technical support, training, and development to all architectural and interior design staff.

This position will offer ongoing project support to ensure that teams are productive and capable of achieving project goals and deliverables, using new technologies and workflows, and will capture and document best practices on the implementation and use of BIM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Practice Technology related Research and Development
  • Provide BIM/REVIT® project kick-off leadership, including project execution planning, model setup, and team setup direction
  • Provide Autodesk REVIT® support including “over-the-shoulder” training and mentorship to staff.
  • Integration of REVIT® products with other applications
  • Establishing and supporting workflows related to:
  • BIM
  • Visualization
  • Reality Capture
  • Construction Administration
  • Computational Design
  • Provide Newforma Project Center and Newforma Mobile Apps support
  • Content creation & management
  • Be an extension of the IT — Core, performing tasks related to IT & infrastructure and mobile workstations support

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Architectural or Interior Design Degree plus 5+ years of experience in professional environment
  • RIBA & RIAI Project Delivery experience required
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • BIM end user education experience preferred
  • Significant experience utilizing Autodesk REVIT ® and other suite programs including Autodesk software on large scale projects (required)
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) experience (preferred)
  • Any additional experience in Newforma, Sketchup, Bluebeam, Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, Enscape, Twinmotion, Affinity, and/or Building Analysis tools preferred
  • ACE Project Delivery experience preferred
