U Matter’ is a Therapy Centre specialised in trauma work. We are one of the few UK based organisations that delivers treatments and protocols that are specific to the recovery of trauma survivors. Our therapists provide therapeutic interventions so that survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse, Human Trafficking, and Modern Slavery, can move forward positively in their lives, no longer being defined by the violence and trauma of their experiences. We are one of the few UK based organisations that delivers treatments and protocols that are specific to the recovery of trauma survivors. In addition to English language, we offer therapy in; Albanian, Arabic, Greek, Persian (Farsi Dari) and Turkish.

Psychiatrist [Contractor role]
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing psychiatric treatment for patients in our healthcare facility.
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including the review of medical histories, interviews, and psychological evaluations.
Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for patients, integrating medication management and psychotherapy when appropriate.
Provide psychiatric treatment, therapy, and medication management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
Keep abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of psychiatry.
GMC (General Medical Council) registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
Completion of specialist training in Psychiatry and inclusion on the Specialist Register.
Experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Desirable but not essential to have one of these following languages; in addition to the English language; Albanian, Arabic, Greek, Persian (Farsi Dari) and Turkish.

A recognized qualification in psychotherapy (e.g., Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapeutic interventions for a variety of mental health disorders.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Desirable but not essential to have one of these following languages; in addition to the English language; Albanian, Arabic, Greek, Persian (Farsi Dari) and Turkish.
