Job role: Psychiatrist [Contractor role]

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing psychiatric treatment for patients in our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including the review of medical histories, interviews, and psychological evaluations.
  • Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for patients, integrating medication management and psychotherapy when appropriate.
  • Provide psychiatric treatment, therapy, and medication management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Keep abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of psychiatry.

Qualifications:

  • GMC (General Medical Council) registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • Completion of specialist training in Psychiatry and inclusion on the Specialist Register.
  • Experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
