We are currently seeking a Director, FX Cash and EM Rates ProductOwner to join the desk in London.

The role holder will alsoensure the HSBC values are present in everything they do, bothindividually and as an organisation. This will be achieved byconsistently displaying the behaviours of: Dependable and do the rightthing, Open to different ideas and cultures, Connected to customers,communities, regulators and each other.

Responsibilities:

- Implement the short, medium and long term FX Cash & EMstrategy with business heads to maximise business outcomes.
-Drive the future state for the platform (architecture and businessprocess) 
- Balance FX Cash & EM Technology and Process Strategywith other constraints (cost pressure, ops risk, regulatory,efficiency initiatives etc.)
- Actively manage the balancebetween regulatory / mandatory / platform delivery and business growthdelivery 
- Ensure key processes and practices Front-to-Back arein-line with the GFX & EM Platform Strategy
- Act as anambassador to promote Product Owner model across MSS through personalconduct and leadership

Execution
- Monitoring andCommunication: Maintain a view over all FX Cash & EM deliveries -communicating plans / progress both internally and externally,especially to support functions
- Prioritisation: Ensure that theGlobal Head of FX Cash & EMR’s priorities cascade down, and drivedelivery of these priorities front-to-back (Ops. Risk, Finance,PC)
- Method: Establish a framework of measurable BusinessOutcomes across the asset class which can be used to track progressand inform prioritisation decisions

Management andLeadership
- Maximise Technology delivery into the FX Cash & EMBusiness by using the Product Owner model across the asset class
- To be successful in this role, the candidate must work inpartnership with Technology in order to drive delivery.
- Theyshould lead and enable technology teams: removing blockers, answeringquestions and providing information which helps the delivery team movequicker.
- Ensure Business Heads put sufficient emphasis onmaintaining the FX Cash & EM Platform front-to-back and establish asense of partnership between Business and Technology

Synergies
- Use experience and analysis to identify and maximisepotential Platform synergies ( shared systems / components / data /functionality etc.) both between different GFX business lines, andbetween GFX and the rest of MSS and other HSBC divisions
- Helpto break down / minimise product and location silos in theBusiness
- Maximise process and practice consistency globally toincrease efficiency

Budget
- Help the annual budgetingprocess to be as transparent and effective as possible, ensuring FXCash & EM can obtain the maximum amount of funding by developing clearand defendable plans and business outcomes.

Management ofRisk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)
- Is aware of theOperational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in amanner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
-Is aware of the Non-Financial Risks associated with the Changeportfolio and ensures that risks are mitigated or escalated to theappropriate governance forum ( Business Control Committee)

Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIMrequirements)
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards,including timely implementation of internal and external audit pointstogether with any issues raised by external regulators.
-Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevantinternal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply tothe conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved,specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including,inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
- Ensures that all ofthe Conduct standards implemented for MSS are maintained.

Role Dimensions ( balance sheet size, lending/expenditure limits,size/volume of transactions)
- Accountability for the technologybudget remains with the Head of the FICC Platform. This role would beresponsible for ensuring that the budget is deployed to deliver themaximum impact to the business. This involves ensuring that governanceis in place to ensure controlled delivery and early identification ofissues.

-Robust stakeholder management – able to get things done and ‘hold theline’ when required.
- Strong business outcomedelivery/strategy/design thinking ability track record.

Thelocation for this role is London.
