The Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary Mechanical and Electrical Engineering design team. Reporting to the M&E Director, the role involves leading and undertaking engineering designs for a variety of projects across the UK, including Construction, Buildings, Rail, Bridges, and Infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include contributing to the team's development, leading and mentoring junior design engineers, and facilitating your own skills and career progression.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties include undertaking mechanical design elements for projects of various sizes, producing mechanical designs for complete projects, collaborating with other disciplines at meetings, managing the engineering design team to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget, preparing and coordinating mechanical drawings and specifications, understanding design processes, compliance with standards, managing CDM risks, preparing reports, feasibility studies, and conducting site surveys.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, be a Member of a Professional Institution, have experience in mechanical design and on construction, buildings, infrastructure, or rail projects, and possess skills in designing and delivering mechanical engineering solutions.
