Due to rapid growth, we’re on the lookout for new Sales Development Representatives to join our Sales and Marketing team. This is a vital role that can help our company grow and in return you’ll be well supported and rewarded. You’ll play a key part in the business by generating and qualifying strong leads that go on to see demonstrations of the solutions you recommend.

What’s it all about?

As our new Sales Development Representative, you’ll strive to hit an achievable monthly target which will be supported by our great marketing team. You’ll have qualified the needs and requirements through rapport building and effective questioning. Having great interpersonal skills are crucial in this role as are resilience and having a positive attitude.

You’ll also need to be able use effective questioning to open up discussions with clients in a consultative way. To be effective you’ll need to quickly understand business challenges and identify where Nutshell can add value. This is a wonderful opportunity for a person new to consultative selling as our product is so versatile. You’ll be selling into many industries with many different solutions thereby giving you a rounded learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Outbound calling in response to marketing campaigns

· Following calls with emails when appropriate

· Pipeline building and pipeline management

· Keeping CRM fully updated with notes to show sales progress

· Reporting sales information for commercial analysis

· Qualifying leads to a BANT level

· Submitting leads once qualified and scheduling appointments and web demos for BDM’s

· Tracking submitted leads and supporting when required.

· Liaise with Technology and Operations teams when necessary

· Keep updated with product development and competitor solutions

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with a variety of people, at all levels of seniority

· Coachable

· Objection Handling Skills

· Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills

· Ability to act on own initiative, whilst maintaining a strong teamwork ethic, and a collaborative and adaptive working style

· Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office

· An understanding and passion of the software/tech industries

· Able to work under pressure and have resilience

· A well developed sense of humour would be most welcome

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days of working from our Gateshead office per week.

Salary – 22-25K basic – OTE 40K
