Responsible for liaising with Women and Families who have been identified through the Independent review of Maternity Services.


The post holder will be part of the Patient Experience and Engagement team, and work closely with the Maternity Governance Service Quality, Risk and Safety Team and the Independent review team.


In undertaking the duties for this post the post holder must comply with The Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates (NMC).


In undertaking the duties for this post the post holder must comply with the Department of Health's code of conduct for NHS Managers (October 2002).
Maternity and Neonatal senior leadership
Chief Executive, Chief Nurse, Medical Director as required
Supporting Women and Families identified through the Independent Maternity Review


Coordinate and support Initial (early) meetings with families / women involved identified through the Nottingham Maternity Review to establish a constant (impartial) point of contact and to ascertain what support is required by the woman/family.


Improve women and family understanding of Review processes / responsibilities.


Oversee correspondence between the women / families and the Trust.

Training & Qualifications
Current NMC Registration as a Midwife or Nurse
Experience working at a senior level in an Acute Trust

Experience of contributing relevant complaints and service user and engagement information and insight for inspections by external bodies e.g. CQC/ NMC

Experience working in acute care areas
~5 years post registration experience including management and leadership experience
