Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives ofchildren and young people? We are seeking a dedicated and experiencedChildren's Registered Manager to join our team.

As a RegisteredManager, you will be integral to the development and delivery of ourresidential short break offer, working with existing Durham CountyCouncil services in addition to the wider system to reduce the numberof children becoming looked after.

You will play a pivotal rolein the development and planning of the service, recruitment andtraining of the team, delivery of an aspirational and innovativeservice with a view to ensure continuous improvement and development.

The service will place significant emphasis on supervision andthe continuous professional development of the successful post holderand the wider team. We are committed to the development of ouremployees and offering creative and innovative training opportunities.

Skills and experience

This role requires adynamic, motivated, and committed individual to deliver a servicewhere the aspirations of our children and young people are central,you will drive positive change to ensure our young people thrive andour dedicated team is inspired and enabled to deliver care thatsurpasses expectation.

We are looking for someone who putschildren and young people at the centre of everything we do and iscommitted to exceptional service delivery. You must have provenleadership and management experience.

You should have anunderstanding of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and experienceof regulatory inspections including Ofsted and Regulation 44. Youshould have an excellent knowledge of evidence-based practice andresearch in relation to children in care.

Your expertise shouldcome with relevant professional qualifications including:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for ResidentialChildcare or willingness to work towards this within 18 months fromqualification enrolment in accordance with DCC guidelines
