This a fantastic opportunity to work with an independently run care provider and school based in Norwich. They are looking to recruit a Full Time Assistant Headteacher to oversee the day to day running of pupil's timetables, ensuring that EHCP outcomes are being met, alongside mentoring and evaluating teaching staff ensuring CPD is targeted and delivered, with whole school priorities being worked towards.
Alongside this you will lead the SEN Co-ordination provision, ensuring all policies, practices and advice from external practitioners are implemented in a timely manner. The Assistant Headteacher will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating performance of all teaching staff, including CPD.
This fantastic and reputable client specialise in care and support for children and young adults with Autism, mental health conditions and learning difficulties.
Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school's SEND provision across school
To participate in curriculum and management planning meetings, colleagues, parents and other agencies
Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and policies
Work on curriculum and pupil development to secure improved outcomes
Qualified teacher status and ability to meet the needs of SEND pupils
Experience of working with and strong knowledge of children with SEN and how they learn
Experience of Ofsted Inspections
Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
Knowledge of the Independent School Standards
Knowledge and experience of EHCP reviews
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
Experience in leading CPD to staff and Personal education Plans (PEP)
