We are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior/Principal Platform Systems Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Barrow-in-Furness . This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a crucial role in shaping innovative engineering solutions. What You’ll Be Doing: In this exciting role, you will: Develop a comprehensive package of design evidence to ensure safe and effective designs that inspire customer confidence. Specify and assist in building prototypes, products, and systems ready for rigorous testing. Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues, ensuring quality and reliability. Ensure commitments are agreed upon, reviewed, and met consistently. Mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and guiding them through technical challenges. Deliver engaging presentations to both technical and management audiences, staying updated on novel technical concepts and markets. Author and co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations as needed. Your Skills and Experience: To thrive in this role, you should have: A degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Science subjects. Strong documentation skills with the ability to present designs to customers and wider groups. A knack for solving complex engineering calculations. Proficiency in CAD and MS Office, along with comfort in using various IT applications. Why Join Us?
