We are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior/Principal Platform Systems Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Barrow-in-Furness . This is a full-time on-site position where you will play a crucial role in shaping innovative engineering solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this exciting role, you will:
Develop design evidence to ensure safe and effective engineering solutions that inspire customer confidence.
Specify and assist in building prototypes, products, and systems ready for testing.
Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues.
Ensure commitments are agreed upon, reviewed, and met consistently.
Mentor junior engineers on technical matters, sharing your expertise and insights.
Make impactful presentations to both technical and management audiences, staying updated on novel technical concepts and markets.
Author and co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations as needed.
Your Skills and Experience:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
A degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Science subjects.
The ability to create and present design documentation to customers and wider groups.
Strong problem-solving skills for complex engineering calculations .
Proficiency in CAD , MS Office , and comfort with other IT applications.
