An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assurance & Compliance Manager to join Major Projects initially working on the Southern Integrated Delivery project.
Proactively lead and manage a team of 2 x Quality Engineers.
Work with Engineering teams to develop a progressive and proactive quality assurance regime for the project, which ensures that all client requirement/specifications are fulfilled, and work is of a high standard.
Oversee the ITP process, ensuring that documentation is fit for purpose, mitigates risk, and promotes improvement.
Co-ordinate compliance to the requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, Safety Certificate / Principal Contractors Licence and Network Rail and RSSB standards.
Create an audit and inspection regime which reinforces compliance with these requirements, whilst supporting local delivery efforts and the most efficient use of resources. Take the lead on external audits/third party assessments/client visits in relation to quality.
Develop, implement and report Key Performance Indicators that effectively demonstrate the quality of delivery performance. Assist the Procurement team to assess sub-contractor compliance to legal and contractual requirements, via supplier monitoring and/or audit. Support relevant subcontractors to improve their processes and close out non-conformities.
Experience in a Quality Engineering role ideally in the rail/construction industry.
Experience of driving change and performance improvement in an Engineering or Construction organisation.
Experience of writing quality management plans and monitoring inspection and testing plans.
Familiar with Network, Rail and RSSB standards.
Experience of root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, Ishikawa, 5Whys.
Proficient in MS office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent data analysis skills.
Full driving licence.
