Description

We are looking for a People Partner for the Scottish Region on a fixed term contract (Maternity Leave cover) for a period of 12 months. Ideally you will be based around Central Belt however there is some flexibility in the base location of the role. You will be the trusted ‘go-to’ person across the region, influencing and supporting the management teams across our sites.

Reporting to, and working closely with, the People Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and professional service to the business whilst embedding HR best practice, the People Plan and Breedon’s core values.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

· Advise and coach business leaders on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in accordance with current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements, to ensure consistency, accuracy and best practice

· Assist with the recording of KPI information for the business area, analysing problem areas and advising business leaders on solutions

· Effectively and proactively support business leaders with recruitment, onboarding and employee development practices

· Foster and develop employee engagement, building a culture of collaboration and continue improvement

· Drive and support the ED&I agenda

· Support business leaders to identify learning and development needs, recording of information and use of LMS

· Promote wellbeing programmes both internally and externally

· Ideally qualified to degree level

· CIPD qualified or a willingness to work towards

· Previous experience of working within an HR generalist role

· Ability to work on own initiative, managing own time and workload

· Ability to influence and change style depending on audience

· Demonstratable commercial approach to advice and risk management

· Drive and motivation to plan and follow through to end point

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop relationships internally and externally

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Strong IT Skills
