This role will ensure clients receive top-notch service, all cases are handled efficiently and professionally from conception to resolution including supervising secretaries, ensuring high-quality standards and service are always maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Preparation: Manage regulatory cases from client enquiry to completion, adhering to departmental procedures and maintaining high standards.
  • Meetings and Instructions: Attend meetings with clients, experts and Counsel; instruct Counsel and experts as needed and ensure financial arrangements are in place.
  • Representation: Represent clients at various hearings, including interim orders, fitness to practise and internal disciplinary hearings.
  • Advisory Role: Provide advice on appeals to the High Court, Judicial Reviews and disciplinary investigations for regulated clients and university students.

What you need?

  • A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) and relevant admission as a solicitor in the UK
  • Prior experience in regulatory law or professional discipline with a track record of successfully representing clients at hearings and disciplinary investigations.
  • Strong case management skills with attention to detail and adherence to procedural standards.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, precise legal documents and correspondence.
