This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with core hours between 08:30 to 17:00. Who we are apetito is the UK's leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors serving more than 1,300 care homes, health care and education settings. Our meals are expertly crafted by our dieticians and chefs, and then frozen to lock in the goodness. Wiltshire Farm Foods, our sister company, is the UK's largest ready meal supplier cooking and delivering over 330 different delicious frozen ready meals across the UK. Responsibilities Day to day administration of the Purchase Ledger function. Entering direct spend purchase invoices/credit notes onto the SAP system with a high degree of accuracy. Coding some overhead purchase invoices/credit notes with the appropriate codes and cost centre reference numbers. Managing the flow of invoices/credit notes through our P2P system and working alongside suppliers and the business. Answering telephone calls from suppliers, responding to their enquiries and providing the information requested in a reasonable and timely manner. Communicating with suppliers to resolve any issues arising from invoices received. Producing weekly payment runs and compiling all necessary supporting documentation. Utilising various software packages and processes to ensure that all anti-fraud measures are carried out to the highest standards. Any other duties commensurate with the level of salary. About you Essential: Recent experience of working within a busy purchase ledger department. Previous experience of working within an office environment. Team Player - able to work as part of a team taking time to understand your role and how you can assist other members of the team. Upholds principles and values - delivers expected results whilst maintaining the highest standards, always ensuring internal procedures are followed. Communicating - able to communicate clearly and fluently at all levels and express your opinion in a clear and constructive manner. Planning and organisation - must be able to plan and organise daily/weekly tasks, prioritise appropriately and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Delivering results and meeting customer expectations - bringing together all required qualities to deliver results whilst exceeding the expectations of both internal and external customers. Building relationships - able to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook packages. Able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy. Desirable: Experience of working with SAP in a purchase ledger role. Adaptable to change - adapts to changes quickly and positively, accepts new ideas and looks for the positives in new situations. Learning and development - makes use of day to day experiences to further their understanding of the role and looks to gain relevant training where possible. Flexibility - adopts a flexible approach to working in order to cope with day to day setbacks and obstacles whilst maintaining a positive outlook during periods of high pressure.
