We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking lead nurse to join our senior nursing team to support the delivery of high quality services to the children and young people of Lincolnshire.


Working in collaboration with the Head of Nursing, Matrons and Ward Managers, the successful candidate can expect a warm welcome from a team that are kind, friendly and supportive. We are seeking someone who is an exceptional nurse leader, who has a proven track record in senior nursing roles and a commitment to the highest standards of care and patient experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Divisional Head of Nursing to provide strong clinical leadership, effective management and professional advice to support our teams to deliver high quality care to our young patients and their families throughout the Trust. Provide operational and strategic leadership ensuring that the Children and Young Peoples division provides high-quality patient care that achieves agreed performance objectives
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the child and their family are placed at the centre of decision making
Ensure that the nursing workforce is fit for purpose and that plans ensure that it will remain so.

We provide acute and specialist services to people in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties. Your NHS needs you
Demonstrate the ability to handle complex or difficult situations with authority and commitment at a senior level
Ability to facilitate change including deployment of service modernisation techniques and change management skills
Detailed knowledge and understanding of clinical and corporate governance and risk management systems and processes
Highly effective presentation skills and the ability to present well-reasoned and structured argument orally and in writing
Standard keyboard skills and proficiency in the use of ICT applications to support efficient work activity, including the analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data

Experience of working in a leadership role within Children and Young People services at matron level or equivalent
Evidence of delivering significant organisational change projects
Evidence of leading improvements in patient experience and operational performance

Must be able to travel between sites
Must be able to participate in staffing and on call rota's
