Our client is looking for a hands-on senior sales manager with a passion for military and tradition to join a small, established company that provides the only British manufactured swords to military organisation’s in the UK and abroad. Working closely with the founder and CEO, who is incredibly passionate about the company, you will be responsible for ensuring sales growth of the company going forward.
Working in a small company with a global presence, you will be an experienced qualified sales manager who can help keep this engine running with your own sales skills as well as leadership, having leadership of the staff. The ideal candidate has deep experience of the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others.
Given the traditional values of the company and its close connection to traditional military organisations, you should have the gravitas to interact with senior military personnel and an excellent understanding of traditional military etiquette. This role might suit an ex-military personnel with strong sales experience and a passion for the military. You will also be required to oversee the office manager and a small team, so having some HR experience would be preferred.
Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts
Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and extends the company’s global reach
Five or more years of experience in managing sales in a corporate setting
Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
The ability to travel, including abroad and for 6 weekends a year in the UK for tailor day’s.
