Reporting to the Commercial & Aftersales Business Development Manager, the Aftersales Development Specialist will assist in the development and management of new & existing products and programmes that drive customer loyalty and vehicle retention, ensuring that owning a McLaren is an extraordinary experience.

The Aftersales Development Specialist will support the growing Aftersales parts & accessories business through the creation of innovative customer-focused products, services, campaigns & incentives which deliver exceptional customer service and profitability throughout the vehicle life cycle.

The Aftersales Development Specialist will be responsible for launching new Aftersales programmes to a global audience encompassing Customers, Retailers, Regional colleagues, and internal teams.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To help shape, develop and manage class-leading Aftersales initiatives and processes to drive Customer Retention, ensuring that McLaren customers remain loyal to the brand and its Retailer Network
  • Strong understanding of incentive programmes, commercial offers, and marketing strategies that drive sales of aftersales products and services.
  • To assist in the management, maintenance, and development of the McLaren Extended Warranty Programme
  • To assist in the management, maintenance, and development of the McLaren Extended Service Plan Programme
  • To act as the first point of contact for operational topics with our third-party programme providers
  • To contribute to continually enhancing service levels and customer experience throughout all McLaren/Retailer Aftersales touchpoints, to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
  • To assist in the production of key performance reports for communication both internally and to the Retailer network. This will include data sourcing, analysis, creation and presentation of the information requiring high levels of accuracy and clarity using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Regular interaction with regionally based colleagues to understand market opportunities & challenges, implementing bespoke actions to create future products and initiatives.
  • Create and develop Retailer and Customer facing communication collateral/assets to support a variety of Aftersales Programmes, both independently and in conjunction with internal colleagues and suppliers

Due to the nature of this role, the Aftersales Development Specialist will be responsible for the ownership and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Automotive retailer aftersales experience in the luxury segment preferred.
  • Suited to someone who is currently working as a senior service advisor or junior aftersales manager.
  • Familiar with industry aftersales products, services and incentive programs
  • High level of customer orientation
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office tools.
  • The ability to deliver projects within set timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive mindset that contributes creative ideas towards strategic and tactical business challenges
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable with data and has an analytical mindset.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturer operations beneficial
