Disaster Recovery Specialist | Azure Environment | FinTech
~6 month contract with likely extensions
~ Remote - ideally able to get into their London office once or twice a month.

It is essential that you are an SME in disaster recovery working specifically on cloud-related projects and programmes for success with this contract.
We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Disaster Recovery Specialist / Architect to join our client on a contract basis, offering the chance to work on pivotal projects aimed at establishing robust disaster recovery solutions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in cloud-based environments, particularly Azure and is passionate about designing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery strategies that ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance for financial services entities. Our client is a well-established financial institute who are modernising their way to a FinTech bank status.
Develop and execute a transition and implementation plan for disaster recovery from an infrastructure perspective.
Lead the deployment of asset management systems, including ownership definitions and responsibilities.
Design and oversee the transition of backup and recovery processes to a managed service, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define what successful disaster recovery looks like and establish a functional disaster recovery setup.
Proven experience as a Disaster Recovery Specialist / Architect, particularly in cloud-based environments (Azure ideally, but AWS/GCP will be fine).
Strong understanding of business continuity planning and disaster recovery regulations in the banking sector.
