Commercial Business Development Manager

About the role We have a great opportunity for you to join us as our Commercial Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for continuing to deliver the growth strategy for our non-appointed (Commercial) services. Your main tasks will include maximizing commercial opportunities, identifying and developing new sales opportunities to meet targets, and collaborating closely with teams across our business to pursue business development opportunities with both existing and potential clients. We are looking for someone who can provide knowledge about the range and detail of possible services, research and develop new sales strategies, set appropriate budgets for retention and growth, and monitor and report on monthly physical and financial performance. Your role will also involve developing a yearly business development strategy for non-appointed to achieve P&L targets for both the department and directorate. About you We are seeking someone with proven experience in delivering growth, business development, and strategy creation and implementation in a commercial setting. The ideal candidate will have a results-focused approach, be skilled in commercial negotiations, and thrive in a target-oriented performance environment. A strong commercial background in business development or account management in any industry/sector is essential. What matters most is that you can demonstrate a track record of delivering growth and possess the right behaviors to align with our business values.
You should have experience in identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities while maximizing income potential from both new and existing clients. A solid understanding of the sales cycle and the use of evolving and innovative sales techniques and strategies is required. Additionally, you should have knowledge of marketing strategies and how they interact with the sales cycle. Excellent presentation skills and a successful track record in building and enhancing the reputation of an organization with external bodies and customers are also important.
Since this role involves travel, a full and valid UK driving license is necessary.
