we’ve got an exciting opportunity for a people business partne r to join our team here at wagamama leading the people strategy for the south region of 60+ restaurants . in this role you will work in partnership with the regional director and area managers , building and maintaining effective relationships with the management teams to drive successful operational performance through the delivery of k ey people initiatives and people performance

you will ensure that medium- and long-term talent pipelines are in place to achieve the right balance of internal to external hires; working with the regional talent partner to attract and retain talent through the application of robust talent management + activation whilst nurturing a thriving culture across wagamama

develop + foster strong working relationships with the regional director + area managers to ensure that top talent is engaged and retained and there is a healthy pipeline of successors to fill key roles
know what good looks like and recognise the success factors that result in high performance
nurture a diverse and inclusive approach to talent to ensure that we have a clear understanding of internal pipeline requirements, achieved practically through the identification of talent, the tracking and owning of talent through succession planning and understanding of the pipeline to grow future talent (succession planning, manpower planning, personal development plans)
line manage and develop the regional talent partner for the region
create the regional resourcing strategy in conjunction with operations and the talent acquisition partner to identify where external resource is required and when to avoid vacancies and gaps


experience partnering for a multisite restaurant, retail or similar type business
a good understanding of the principles and practices of generalist hr, talent management, er, and change management
ability to solve problems, analyse issues + interpret data
