We are looking for a talented Tech Lead / Senior Software Architect to join us on this very exciting journey.
We are seeking a Head of Technology to take charge of our technology roadmap, spearhead architectural design, and lead our development teams to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions. You will be the technical visionary, setting the tone for our development practices and ensuring our architecture supports future growth, reliability, and performance.
Architectural Leadership: Define and evolve the architecture of our core platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a talented team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence. Engage in coding, code reviews, and prototyping when necessary, ensuring high standards of code quality and best practices are maintained across the team.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other tech leads to align technology strategy with business goals. Contribute to the planning and prioritisation of features, enhancements, and new product development.
Performance Optimisation: Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and load testing to ensure our applications meet rigorous performance and reliability standards.
Implement robust security practices across the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations.
Innovation and Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, evaluating their potential to drive business value. DevOps and CI/CD: Advocate for DevOps best practices, automating deployment pipelines and integrating continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes to enhance development efficiency.
Proven Experience: Minimum of 3/4 years in a Senior Tech Lead role, with demonstrable experience leading teams in fast-paced environments developing consumer lead applications and solutions.
Strong proficiency in Java, React, AWS. Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically about technology challenges, identifying opportunities for optimisation and innovation.
Agile Advocate: Experience working within Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, and an advocate for Agile principles.
DevOps Mindset: Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Knowledge of secure coding practices, data privacy laws, and compliance requirements relevant to software development.
