Product Manager x 2 - EV - Northern Ireland - £45k - £70k

One of my key clients based in Northern Ireland is looking to bring in 2 Product Managers to lead development of their EV Engineering projects. I am seeking two dynamic and experienced Engineering Product Managers to lead the development and delivery of cutting-edge engineering projects. As an Engineering Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to commercialization, ensuring the successful execution of our ground breaking initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation, shape the future of technology, and contribute to the mission of revolutionizing energy and transportation.

Role:

2 x Product Managers

Salary: £45k to £70k

Location: Northern Ireland

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development and execution of engineering projects, including electrical distribution systems, propulsion systems, and renewable energy solutions.
  2. Define project objectives, scope, and timelines, and develop comprehensive project plans to guide the team towards successful outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, and procurement, to ensure alignment with project goals and priorities.
  4. Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, monitoring progress and addressing any deviations to keep projects on track.
  5. Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, facilitating communication and fostering strong relationships.
  6. Drive product innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging market insights and technological advancements to enhance product offerings.
  7. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks, informing strategic decision-making.
  8. Champion a customer-centric approach, gathering feedback and insights to inform product development priorities and enhancements.
  9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality assurance protocols throughout the product development process.
  10. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in project management, product development, or engineering leadership roles, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong technical background in engineering principles, with knowledge of electrical distribution systems, propulsion systems, or renewable energy technologies preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards shared goals and objectives.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate challenges, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or JIRA, is desirable.
  • Experience working in the energy, transportation, or technology sectors is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
