Position Overview:

Dunbar Education is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher for a full-time position. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Utilise effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is non-negotiable.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service is a requirement.
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the UK curriculum.
  • Full-time availability during term time.
