Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you thrive in a nurturing environment where creativity and curiosity are encouraged? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) in order to form a SEND team alongside dedicated SEN support staff. Working 4-5 days, exact hours are open to discussion. 12 month contract.

About Us:

Key Responsibilities
• You will play a crucial role in ensuring that pupils with special education needs and disabilities receive the support the require to thrive academically, socially and emotionally
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the holistic development of each child
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues and external parties to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Identify and assess pupils with SEND through collaboration with teachers, parents and external parties.
• Prepare Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and other personalised support mechanisms for pupils with SEND
• To promote the welfare of children and to support the school in safeguarding children through relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with NASENCO or commitment to NPQ within 3 years of appointment
• Experience working with SEND children in an educational setting
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework, national curriculum and its principles
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for young children
