Job Title: BI Developer

Work Arrangement: 1-2 days in-office

Location: Stafford and Telford

Type of Position: Permanent

Job Detail:

As a BI Developer, you will collaborate with our client's Technical and Business Teams, with responsibilities including:

  • Championing adherence to quality gates and milestones within the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to ensure seamless delivery of technical solutions.
  • Leading the crafting and presentation of technical designs for stakeholder approval.
  • Mentoring junior developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring high standards of quality, maintainability, and performance through thorough reviews.
  • Maintaining clear and concise documentation to support ongoing operations.
  • Facilitating smooth handover and knowledge transfer to support teams for production applications.
  • Upholding strict adherence to change and configuration management processes.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Experience developing Extract, Transformation, and Load (ETL) processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Experience working with Oracle databases in a development environment.
  • Proficiency with SQL Developer, SQL*Loader, and TOAD tools in a development environment.
  • Strong experience with Oracle SQL & PL/SQL.
  • Ability to estimate solution efforts accurately.
  • Exposure to full life cycle implementation of data warehouses.

Desired:

  • Experience in the Financial sector, adept at developing tailored Business Objects solutions.
  • Expertise in integrating diverse data sources, including XML files, for comprehensive insights.
  • Proficiency in implementing complex business rules efficiently using reusable transformations.
  • Skilled in optimising solutions for peak performance using advanced tuning methods.
  • Experience leveraging Informatica command line utilities for streamlined workflow management.
