Your new company Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an Ofsted rated "Outstanding" SEN Primary School in Widnes as they require motivated and experienced Teaching Assistants to support students across all year groups (reception/EYFS, KS1 & KS2). This is a long-term contract that will last until the end of the academic year and the school supports students with a variety of complex needs including ASD, none-verbal, downs syndrome, PDA and GLD. Your new role In your new role as an SEN Teaching Assistant within this school, you will be required to work across all year groups as required. You will be supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and group basis, holding intervention and booster sessions, speech and language, phonics and support in all core subjects as required. You will effectively monitor and manage the students' engagement and behaviours by using positive behaviour techniques, including effectively identifying trigger points, distraction techniques, and taking students out of the class as required.
