About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Progress Teachers Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a willingness to adapt to different teaching styles and learning needs.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
