The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies to address environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities within the manufacturing processes and supply chain. This role requires a deep understanding of sustainability practices, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive ESG policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Regularly review and update policies and procedures accordingly.
Conduct regular ESG risk assessments to identify potential environmental, social, and governance risks associated with manufacturing operations and supply chain activities. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, investors, and regulatory agencies, to promote transparency and accountability in ESG performance. Prepare regular reports on ESG performance metrics, goals, and initiatives for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely disclosure of ESG information in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of ESG initiatives and track progress towards sustainability goals. Analyse data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on ESG principles, policies, and practices. Conduct audits of the company’s operations in the UK, India and China to ensure adherence to company standards, principles, policies and procedures, & report preparation for presentation to the SLT, together with analyse of the audit findings and recommended improvement.
Develop systems for collecting green-house gas (‘GHG’) data and reporting, as well as GHG emissions as required by ISO 14064. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/ Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience in ESG compliance, sustainability management, or related fields, preferably in the manufacturing industry is preferable but not a requirement.
Deep understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess ESG risks and opportunities and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Primarily based in the Hereford office but with a willingness to travel occasionally, as required.
