We’re looking for a star performer to work alongside our CEO and build on their track record to date by using ingenuity and passion to deliver outstanding results.

This is a unique opportunity for someone to experience and learn all aspects of working in a creative scale-up, from supporting prospecting through to project execution and delivery of our flagship branding programmes and beyond. So, you’ll be just as comfortable nurturing long-term client and team relationships as you are managing projects and analysing data (a big ask, we know).

We’re looking for someone ingenious, collaborative and adaptable—someone who is confident in their ideas but also receptive to direction. To be successful, you’ll be a self-starting problem solver, willing to take ownership of results. You’ll also be a real team player and happy to lead by example.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Just as we aim to present you with incredible opportunities for the future, your role is pivotal to the continued growth of Firestarter. Flexibility and adaptability are key, but the following should be a solid foundation for the role:

  • Collaborating with Founders: Working directly with Mickey Wilson (CEO & co-founder) to learn and improve a diverse range of activities. Taking ownership of mission-critical tasks and finding ways to move forward faster without compromising quality.
  • Overseeing Sales and Marketing : Managing day-to-day sales and marketing strategies and processes. Being strategic enough to present new initiatives while staying grounded to ensure potential new clients are handled carefully.
  • Project Management: Working closely with the founders and other team members to ensure client and internal projects run smoothly, on budget, on time, and on brand.
  • Preparing for Client Interactions : Taking the lead in preparing for client meetings, ensuring thorough preparation and capturing follow-ups. Occasionally, attending meetings with the founder or representing them in their absence.
  • Client Journey Involvement : Engaging in every step of the client journey, from onboarding to maintaining long-term relationships. 
  • Client Onboarding : Supporting new clients through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition and deliver a best-in-class experience.
  • Supporting Financial Functions : Assisting and eventually taking on more responsibility for accounts payable and receivable functions. This includes preparing proposals, processing invoices and payments and working with our accountants to improve these processes.
  • Conducting Research : Assisting the founder with market, industry, prospect, and competitor research to support campaigns and projects.
  • Data and Reporting: Using data to tell a story. Keeping us on track through KPI and progress reporting.
  • Collaborating with Partners : Working proactively with partners from SEO, web development, and events teams to devise and deliver brand-led campaigns and initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing branding agency as a Founders Associate. Based in London with the flexibility to work hybrid, you will serve as the founder's right hand and support the growth of the business.

Requirements:

  • You’ll be a self-starter, able to effortlessly communicate the unique value proposition of Firestarter and our clients.
  • You’ll bring solid communication and interpersonal skills to build partnerships based on trust.
  • You’ll have the resilience and tenacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • You’ll be entrepreneurial, energetic, resourceful, resilient, and excited to set Firestarter and our clients alight with your ingenuity.
  • You’ll need to demonstrate that you’re up for a challenge and have the mindset to solve complex and messy problems.
  • Given the demands of running multiple projects simultaneously, you’ll need to demonstrate strong project coordination and administration abilities.
  • You’ll be comfortable analyzing complex data and producing options and plans based on analytical findings. This is a real opportunity to demonstrate sound, critical, and solution-focused thinking.
  • You’ll have attention to detail, adaptability, and receptiveness to feedback and direction.
  • You’ll be highly proficient in the core MS Office / Google Suite applications (think beautiful PowerPoints, punchy Word documents, and impactful pivot tables).
  • You’ll be equally comfortable in face-to-face meetings and online calls as you are with analyzing datasets and managing projects.
  • You might have a degree in a related discipline, but this isn’t a requirement. Instead, you'll be able to demonstrate you’re ‘switched on’ and prepared to be fully invested in the team and our journey.
  • You’ll be able to provide real-world examples of your experience and how you’ve previously delivered exceptional results, showing how these are transferable to working in a fast-paced scale-up.
  • Plus, you’ll be able to work independently or as part of a team.

The role will suit someone who can join us as required at our London base. You must have a legal right to work in the UK and be within commuting distance of London.

  • Base pay for the role is c. £30,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications
