Currently, we are engaged in multiple testing and pilot projects with partners across the supply chain to assess and scale our groundbreaking technology.


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Founder Associate to work with DyeRecycle CEO. The Founder’s Associate role provides unparalleled exposure within the business and the opportunity to learn first-hand what it means to be an early-stage CEO running a high-growth tech startup. You will be integral to driving our mission to revolutionize the industry's approach to color innovation and break free from the traditional reliance on petrochemicals and mineral-based dyes.


You can anticipate a multifaceted and dynamic role where you will develop expertise across vital domains such as business development, partnership development and management, strategy formulation, operational efficiency, and spearheading high-impact projects. This position presents an unparalleled chance to gain firsthand experience in material innovation while honing a skill set that will propel your career forward.


Job Responsibilities:

Strategic and Business Development

· Pursue & manage business development opportunities to drive growth and deliver projects.

· Co-develop a robust pipeline of partnerships with innovative brands and apparel manufacturers

· Participate in strategy sessions with investors and assist in fundraising efforts.

Operational Management

· Work closely with the CEO to manage organizational tasks and disseminate information across teams effectively.

· Lead/co-lead projects related to grants, customers, external partners and internal affairs, ensuring adherence to budgets and timely fulfilment of grant obligations.

· Assist in the recruitment process, including talent assessment and candidate communication, while managing the company handbook.

Product Development

· Collaborate with the technical team to develop and improve products or services.

· Gather and analyze customer feedback to guide product enhancements.

Communication and networking

· Draft compelling pitch decks, applications, communications, and press releases.

· Represent the company at events and conferences.

Financial Management

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

· Assist in managing finance tasks, including liaison with the accountant, bookkeeping, and invoice handling.


Our Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking an individual who embodies our core values and is aligned with our mission-driven approach. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Bachelors or higher in engineering, business, economics, finance, textiles, science or related field
  • Possess exceptional communication skills and excel in stakeholder management.
  • Prior experience at an start-up company or worked in innovation teams closely with start-ups
  • Strong passion or interest in textile innovation space
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at tackling challenges head-on to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent communicator, able to effectively convey information to technical and non-technical colleagues in both written and verbal formats.


Requirements:

  • Have at least 4 years of solid working experience in two or more of the following areas: Innovation translation from lab to pilot, Business development and CRM management,, Operations management, Team leadership, Start-up or Venture Builder experience, Investor relations, Budget management and Finance, Venture Capital portfolio management, Partnership development and management, Commercialization new technologies
  • Right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship.


Nice-to-have (but not required):

  • Have a track record of creating complex business deals and external partnerships related to revenue goals
  • Experience in the sustainability space, textile innovations, and climate tech
