About the team:

The accounts team based in Sheffield manage the accounts for all offices within the EMEA region.

About the role:

This position provides Accounts Receivable Assistance support to the EMEA region. Primary role is to ensure all general accounting tasks are completed. Assist in the development and maintenance of procedures to ensure that they are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Post cash receipts daily into Elite
  • Assist in the Trust Accounting process.
  • Support reconciling bank accounts on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in the month end process creating and posting of month end journals
  • Provide support to the Finance Managers as and when required
  • Work collaboratively to achieve results and process improvement
  • Any other general administration and ad hoc reporting

About you:

Ideally you will have a background in a similar role and have excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail. Preferable AAT or similar qualifications – ideal for someone with plans to study ACCA/CIMA/FCA. You must have good IT skills with a strong understanding and evidence of using Excel.

  • Be able to act under instruction with limited supervision
  • Previous financial experience or a keen interest in developing a career in finance
  • Demonstrates expert proficiency in word processing, excel, internet and email systems
  • Complete tasks within agreed time-frames and in line with expectations
  • Be highly organised, enthusiastic and pay attention to details
  • Be willing to assists in other key areas within the EMEA team
