Procurement & Logistics Director - Caribbean

GAP Talent is working with a leading F&B organization based in the Caribbean who are seeking to appoint a Procurement and Logistics Director. This is an international post with full relocation and housing provided.

Important: Please note to the relatively remote location, it may be a challenge to move with older/teenage children in particular due to limited private schooling.

This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the success of our F&B group. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and logistics function which operates across several countries and multinational household name brands, you will lead a team dedicated to sourcing high-quality ingredients, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. Alough F&B procument and logisiscs is a large portion the position also has responbilties across the group including operation FF&E and other procurement requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and product availability to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement processes.
  • Implement sustainable and ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role within the Food & Beverage OR hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost negotiation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven decisions.
