Procurement & Logistics Director - Caribbean

GAP Talent is working with a leading F&B organization based in the Caribbean who are seeking to appoint a Procurement and Logistics Director. This is an international post with full relocation and housing provided.
Important: Please note to the relatively remote location, it may be a challenge to move with older/teenage children in particular due to limited private schooling.
This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the success of our F&B group. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and logistics function which operates across several countries and multinational household name brands, you will lead a team dedicated to sourcing high-quality ingredients, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. Alough F&B procument and logisiscs is a large portion the position also has responbilties across the group including operation FF&E and other procurement requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and product availability to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement processes.
- Implement sustainable and ethical procurement practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role within the Food & Beverage OR hospitality industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost negotiation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven decisions.
