Overall Job Purpose

Thepurpose of this role is to create an engaged digital community, increasing the profile and visibility oftheCommonwealthSportbrand.

The role is responsible for theimplementation of theCommonwealth Sport digital content strategy,planning thedelivery, measurement and reportingof campaignsand all activationacrossdigital and social media channels, web and CRMto build loyal and engaging communities across the Commonwealth.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

•As part of the Marketing and Communicationsteam, responsibility fordevelopingand deliveringthecontent plans and channel strategy, and regular‘365’content planning,developing an‘Always on Approach’.

•Work with the Digital ContentExecutivetodeliver high quality, relevant, engaging,strategic, and fun content,targeting multiple audiencesacross Commonwealth Sport channelstodriveinteraction and engagement, buildingloyalty with existing fanbase andgrowingnew audiences.

•Work withtheBrand Manager to developdigital and content approaches to support the brand strategyandfoster deeper engagement with target audiences leveraging the brand's unique attributes to create meaningful connections and build loyalty.

•Overseethe growth of theCommonwealth Sport social channelsdriving interaction and engagement.

•Interrogate digital data and assess performancemetricsand KPIs to identifyhow tomaximiseplatform and channel use.

•Develop fan engagement campaigns that retain and engage fansyear-roundandbuilding effective, loyalcommunities.

•Managedigital and socialmediaplan andbudgetoptimisingfor objective and reporting performance metrics for all work.

•Identify trends and opportunities for growthtodeliverrevenue opportunitiesacrossdigital channels including developing a comprehensive YouTube strategy.

•Overseeing theCommonwealth Sportwebsite, ensuringthecustomer journey delivers value and interactive engagement.

•Develop and implement the CRM strategy. Work with the Brand and Media and Communications managerto develope-newslettersfor both internal and external audiencesto growtheCommonwealth Sport global fan base and maintain an engaged, loyal communityacross all stakeholders.

•LiaisewithCommonwealth Sport’s'smember associations-CGAs tocollectivelypromote engaging, creative global campaigns and storiestobuild awareness of the Commonwealth Sport Movement.

•Advising, guiding, supporting and working as an integrated member of 'one team' alongside Commonwealth Games OCs to deliver Games-time content strategy.

•Access the latest trends and developments in digital media to ensureCommonwealth Sportcan build its digital capability and reach andmaintains a radical and fresh digital strategy and delivery approach.

Experience

•Relevant tertiaryqualifications, ideally indigitalmarketing(Bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Or relevant experience.

•Proven experience in digitalmarketingfor a major sport/or in a major sport/multi-sport event environment.

•Proven experience in devising engaging customer journey experiences and userretargeting

•Experienceacrossall digital channels.

•Ability to use research and insights to generate effectivemeasurablestrategies, campaigns and content..

•Familiarity with analytics software (such as Google Analytics and Net Insight).

•Experience of working with brands to develop their online social media footprint.

•Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

•Knowledge of SEO and SEM tactics.
