Role Overview: My client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Sales to lead the sales team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and expanding market presence within the food packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to drive performance and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth and expand market share.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
  • Utilise market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand and develop new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the packaging, food or FMCG industry.
  • Strong understanding of the industry, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies that drive growth and achieve targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
