A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Luxury 5* Corporate Hotel brand, Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel in Canary Wharf, East London.

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and Proactive

Reservations Manager

to be a part of our main central Heart of the Revenue Section of the Hotel, the Reservations Department.

Set within the historic wharfs and quays of East London, Canary Riverside Plaza is the only five-star independent hotel in Canary Wharf. Quadrato Restaurant and Lounge offers Italian inspired menus with flavours that are light, fresh and quintessentially Italian. The incredible view of the River Thames and London skyline are best enjoyed from the elegant terrace or on colder days, the soaring windows of the restaurant. The adjacent Quadrato Bar & Lounge offers an array of signature cocktails, wine, beer and spirits and is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks or a night cap.

Key qualities we are looking from the Reservations Manager:

As Reservations Manager, you will work directly with the Senior Revenue Consultant and Revenue Manager to maximise the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel Revenue through daily management of Room Inventory, Pricing, and Reservations processes. In this role you will help develop and recommend Room Rates and Selling Strategies to optimise the best mix of business through multiple distribution channels with emphasis on in-house contribution. In addition, the appointed Reservations Manager will be responsible for fully driving analysis, compiling reports and developing models to support better decisions across the brand.

The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Knowledge:

Must have a minimum of 2 years full experience in a 5* Luxury Hotel in a proactive Reservations Manager position or a strong Reservations Supervisor looking to step up their career. Confident Knowledge of the principles and practices within all areas of Revenue Management. Must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence others. Strong computer literacy -- particularly with Opera PMS and Microsoft Office. Extensive proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential. Attention to detail required. Ability to operate in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity. Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities at once. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with Guests along with Corporate and Leisure Delegates Must have strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

The main responsibilities for this role would include:

To manage the daily operations ensuring efficient, accurate, and courteous Reservation Services. To maintain constant communication with the Sales/Marketing and Front Office Departments regarding all Suites status. To maintain all Reservation Bookings with monitoring results and direct the operations in a manner fitting the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel culture and brand standards. To create guidelines to measure and maintain selling skills, conversions and upselling. To monitor group blocks, allotments and ensure rooming lists are received and entered in a timely manner. Reconcile group room blocks in Opera PMS system. To respond to any guest or customer concerns and ensure solutions are in the best interest of the guest and the hotel. Support the Senior Revenue Consultant and Revenue Manager in proactive and accurate maintenance and management of all systems: Opera PMS. Support the Senior Revenue Consultant and Revenue Manager in the preparation of reports and presentations for required for the Hotel Asset Management Meetings with Head Office Personnel. Validate required data entry for daily, weekly and monthly reports used for monitoring performance against budget and forecast.
