An opportunity is available as Hydrogen & CCUS Sales Lead within ABB’s Process Automa-tion Energy Industries UK & IE business. The role will be home-based covering all of the UK & Ireland and reporting to the UK & Ireland Head of Sales.

Your responsibilities
  • Define the strategy for and lead large pursuits (typically Automation, Electrical, Tele-communications, Digital) within ABB’s Process Automation Energy Industries (PAEN) UK & IE business, in Hydrogen & CCUS sub-industries.
  • Understand the project portfolio in Hydrogen & CCUS, to aid development and im-plementation of the strategy, creation / identification of opportunities and suitable focussed prioritisation utilising the Opportunity Screening process. Work closely with the Market Development team who lead identification of pursuits.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Process Automation Energy Industries team, in-cluding the PAEN UK and Norway teams, working together to pursue individual op-portunities. Work closely with other Sales Leads across UK & Norway related to Hy-drogen & CCUS pursuits.
  • Own your personal monthly / quarterly / annual Orders and Orders GM forecasting.
  • Work collaboratively with the other Sales Leads with responsibility for Hydrogen & CCUS and wider within the Industrial Clusters.
  • Position PAEN in the external marketplace as a leader in Hydrogen & CCUS under your responsibility, including attendance and presentation at external Events.
  • Personal responsibility to always follow ABB’s code of conduct; act with Integrity and ensure Health and Safety is never compromised
  • Proactive engagement and use of ABB’s CRM tool (Salesforce) on a regular basis.
Your background
  • Degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline preferred.
  • Previous experience in selling Solutions across typically Automation, Electrical, Tele-communications, Digital disciplines preferred.
  • Prior working knowledge of UK Hydrogen & CCUS market preferred.
  • Ability to take opportunities from creation through to close, including negotiation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good IT skills, particularly MS Office.
  • Driving licence.
  • Home based, but comfortable with some overnight travel.
  • Ability to use a CRM system such as Salesforce.
  • Competent in a consultative selling process, with good questioning and listening ability
  • Inquisitive, energetic and resilient
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets
  • Ability to prioritise own work and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, confident & can gain the trust of clients
  • Awareness of the commercial impact of technical decisions, and knowledgeable in contractual elements of industrial projects
  • Experience of interfacing with varying levels of authority within client organisations
