VAT and Payroll Manager

We are currently representing a reputable Accountancy Practice in Dungannon, in their search for an experienced and dedicated VAT and Payroll Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to lead and manage the payroll function within a successful organisation.

As a VAT and Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the payroll process for the company. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with payroll regulations, and provide exceptional service to employees. This role offers the chance to contribute to the success of the organization and drive process improvements within the payroll function.

The Role:

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality VAT and payroll services.
  • Reviewing and managing the work of members within the team
  • Co-ordinating and actively managing month/period end deadlines.
  • Assisting clients transition from manual VAT records to computerised records.
  • Adopting a continuous improvement mindset and suggesting improvements.
  • Developing client relationships, identifying areas for ongoing support.

The Person :

  • Bookkeeping or Accounting Technician qualification OR 3+ years professional experience
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE Payroll or other payroll software packages.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word / Excel)
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Ability to work as part of a team
