Manager – Commercial & Partnerships, NME Networks

NME Networks is seeking a Manager - Commercial & Partnerships to play a vital role across the division in proactively driving business development to increase commercial revenues from partners and media agencies. The successful candidate will manage multiple existing accounts, react to live briefs with best-in-market responses and build first-rate global relationships across multiple sectors, with a focus skewed to Entertainment (film, streamers, TV, gaming, consumer tech).

The position will report to the Global Lead – Commercial & Partnerships. Exceptional communication skills are vital, as is an excellent understanding of cross-platform marketing campaigns and the evolving media landscape, strong media agency relationships, a personable nature and outstanding attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Pitch and convert commercial partnerships and media buys across NME Networks brands, with a primary focus on leading Music and Pop Culture brand NME
  • Drive revenue growth through identifying commercial opportunities across the consumer brand landscape, with a primary focus on Entertainment (film, streamers, TV, gaming, consumer tech)
  • To take ownership of and manage multiple established partner relationships (direct and agency)
  • Represent NME Networks in market, with an elevated ability to listen to and understand the challenges faced by our partners, and articulate the strengths of the NME Networks’ brands to external stakeholders of all levels
  • Effectively manage pipeline and provide accurate budgets and forecasts to Global Lead - Partnerships and Commercial, and the senior management team
  • Collaborate with the wider partnerships team, working to the highest possible standard on ideation, pitch process, media planning, and defining project budgets, and contribute to wider strategy as and when required
  • Regularly present, and attend industry events (physical and virtual) to drive brand and personal profile
  • Organise client entertaining and industry-focused events to enhance partner relations
  • Maintain and constantly improve market and brand insight, proactively discovering relevant market updates and intelligence to improve our position
  • Ensure accurate reporting through the use of business CRM, booking and reporting systems
  • Support finance queries and manage credit control with clients and agencies as required
  • Any other duties as the business may reasonably require

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working in a media sales role
  • Proven ability to ideate and convert ‘best in class’ partnership and media buys across a diverse portfolio of partners
  • A strong understanding of cross-channel media planning, including digital and experiential
  • A deep understanding of the global media landscape, with existing relationships across agencies and clients, ideally within the Entertainment sector
  • Exceptional communication skills and a proven problem-solver
  • An ability to steer clients and interrogate a brief in a constructive and creative manner
  • A confident and articulate presenter
  • An inherent passion for music and entertainment
