Applications and Fluidics Engineer (27174)
A combination of fluidics, electronics and mechanical engineering
This is an excellent opportunity to use your skills and knowledge of fluidics, mechanical engineering and hardware test to make an important impact on the development of a company and its products.
You will play an important role in ensuring the company’s products meet the needs of potential and current clients. Excellent communication skills will be key as it will be necessary for you to gain a good understanding of each client's particular requirements, and help them to evaluate and successfully adopt the product into their systems. You will also be responsible for creating and testing product demonstrators, as well as creating training material and application notes.
Along with a good Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific subject that has included the study of fluidics, you will need:
Full, existing rights to work in the UK without time limit
Skills in fluidic system analysis, design, simulation and test (using tools such as SolidWorks Flow, ANSYS or COMSOL)
Experience of electro-mechanical-fluidic system design, as well as mechanical design using SolidWorks
Comfort with rapid prototyping using 3D printing, machining and other methods
Good skills with integrating application solutions and validation test systems into electronics hardware
Experience with programming hardware with firmware to run software tests for application setups and product demonstrators, ideally using one or more of Python, C, C++, C#, WPF and Labview,
Excellent communication skills and to be comfortable working directly with clients.
We are particularly interested if you also have knowledge or experience of the following:
~ Silicon-MEMS technology and semiconductor/MEMS packaging.
