CK Group are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join a long established and successful biotech with products on the market. This will be a hybrid role, office based for one day a week, alternating between central London and Cambridge.
This role can be considered on either a permanent or contract basis. RESPONSIBILITIES: As Senior Procurement Manager you will actively support the Head of Procurement in delivering excellent procurement services that support drug discovery and preclinical development activities, as well as support functions. Key duties will include: - Identifying and vetting new potential suppliers.- Operating procurement governance models with our key suppliers, including: drafting Master Service Agreements, review and approval of Work Orders, tracking of benefits delivered.
- Monitoring compliance with procurement policies.
- Providing training to employees on procurement processes.
- Negotiating better pricing / other terms (including later payment terms) with suppliers.
- Tracking and reporting Procurement Key Performance Indicators (operational and financial metrics). QUALIFICATIONS: As Procurement Manager / Senior Manager you will require: - A relevant science or business degree.
- Experience within the Pharmaceutical / CRO industry in a procurement / alliance management capacity though which a network of contacts will have been created.
- Proven experience in preclinical research procurement.
- Evidence of significant value delivery in previous roles.
