As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the finance team.

Key Duties:

  • Billing: review & control of timesheets, issuance of invoices, sending of invoices to client (e-mail / portal)
  • Collections Claiming: following up with customers in situations of non-adherence to payment terms
  • Maintaining accounts payable records, ensure timely payment of invoices, and gathering appropriate approval signatures.
  • Understanding of recurring general ledger entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, GL account reconciliations.
  • Daily and monthly bank reconciliation: confirm that all in and out payments are recorded in system and bank balance is reconciled.
  • Monitor and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Preparation of the Cash forecast
  • Assist with preparation for Month End
  • Ad hoc duties as required for supporting Finance team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
  • Experience in using QuickBooks/SAP software would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software applications.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AAT) are a plus.
